Tony has worked extensively in film, theatre and television. His theatre credits include Tonight at 8.30, Macquarie, How Does Your Garden Grow?, Forget-Me-Not-Lane, Mother Courage, The Cherry Orchard, The Time Is Not Yet Ripe, Danton’s Death, Sticks and Bones, An Ideal Husband, Paying the Piper, Batman’s Beachhead, Much Ado About Nothing, You Want It Don’t You Billy?, Life X 3, The Visit and Realism (MTC); The Tooth of Crime, Jesters, The Seagull, Kookaburra, Much Ado About Nothing, Richard lll, Well Hung, The Speakers and Rockola (Nimrod); The Matchmaker and The Norman Conquests (Old Tote); The Crucible, Saint Joan, Corporate Vibes, Life After George, King Lear, The Tempest, Amigos, Two Brothers, Life After George, (STC); Gone To Bali and All Things Considered (Marian Street); Henry 4, Henry 5, Much Ado About Nothing (Bell Shakespeare) and more recently Homebody/Kabul and The Power of Yes (Belvoir);This Year’s Ashes (Griffin).

Tony has been a board member of the Sydney Theatre Company, The Australian National Playwright’s Centre, and the Melbourne and St Kilda Film Festivals.
He is a graduate of NIDA and the ANU and has been a member of Actors Equity since 1970.
The role of Sir Humphrey Appleby will be played by Tony Llewellyn-Jones in Brisbane and the Gold Coast
